Mimi came to visit one Saturday in June and brought Franklyn a pair of roller skates! He was sooooo excited. He started out inside on the carpet and was later brave enough to try them out on the concrete. He was able to pick out his own helmet, elbow pads and knee pads earlier that day while we were shopping. He told me he also needed some butt pads! :-)Franklyn was a little easier to teach than I thought he would be... He learned to balance himself with his arms and how to get himself going. Now he begs on a daily basis to go outside and roller skate!
The funniest thing about watching him is seeing that HUGE helmet on his head! I guess koreans have large heads... He had to have the one for eight year-olds! I don't know how he keeps his balance with that thing on!
